I made this card over a year ago. It depicts native Australian flora and a native Eastern Yellow Robin. I actually made two cards similar to this a couple of years ago, depicting a fairywren and a red-capped robin. Have a look at my Instagram to see a progress video of adding the colours.
It's been so long since I last posted nail art on my blog. I did paint my nails for Christmas, but I don't think I posted photos here, so I believe the last time I posted nail art was the Spider-Man Far From Home nails last July. Wow. I'm so sorry if you're following my… Continue reading Autumn and Spring Easter Nail Art
I did an intensive class in 3D Printing this summer. It was difficult to learn how to use the program, Rhino, in the limited time I had for the class, but I found it really interesting and I enjoyed the process. Honestly, I mainly did the class, so I don't have to do as many… Continue reading 3D Printed Rings
I made these flowers for a competition last year, which I didn't win, but that's alright, I had fun making the flowers anyway. I made flowers similar to these earlier in the year for uni, and I'll post about them at some point. The middles of the flowers are actually corks, which I carved to… Continue reading Papercut Flowers
'It's a poor sort of memory that only works backwards.' - Lewis Carroll This quote is from Through the Looking Glass and is my July artwork. I decided to go along with the theme and make the papercut a chessboard with chess pieces and flowers (like the talking flowers in the book). This artwork is… Continue reading Lewis Carroll Quote
'The true secret of happiness lies in taking a genuine interest in all the details of daily life.' -William Morris You may remember that last month I posted a quote and said that I thought it would be a cool idea to take a photo of quotes against the sky each month and make them… Continue reading William Morris Quote
I made this artwork as a present recently. I actually designed the dreamcatcher almost a year ago, but I didn't have a reason to cut it out until now. I framed the piece in a clear frame. I always like doing that because it shows that the artwork is cut out of paper. I use… Continue reading Dreamcatcher Papercut
I've finally finished painting the cupboards in the laundry at my house! Don't ask me how long it took because I have no idea, and I don't really want to know. If you haven't seen my previous post about painting these cupboards, why don't you have a look: Painting Flowers on Cupboard Doors I seem to… Continue reading Painted Cupboards
I have recently been painting the cupboard doors in the laundry. My mum always wanted to paint them with flowers, but she's never had time to do it, so I've decided to try.
I made these artworks for three of my teachers last year as a thank you for teaching and putting up with me.
