Lewis Carroll Quote

‘It’s a poor sort of memory that only works backwards.’ – Lewis Carroll

This quote is from Through the Looking Glass and is my July artwork. I decided to go along with the theme and make the papercut a chessboard with chess pieces and flowers (like the talking flowers in the book). This artwork is a bit more simple than the other months so far, but I like it. I don’t like the violet though. I thought it was fine, but the longer I look at it, the weirder it looks. This could be a problem if I use it for a calendar page, but at least it gives the viewer something to look at for the month.

Also, just a heads-up, I’m not going to have the August quote finished by the end of this month.
