Polymer Clay Fish

These fish are made out of polymer clay. They have a foil core to add strength and I painted them with acrylic paint.

There is a brook, a brown and a rainbow trout. My uncle requested these for his birthday last year and his reaction to this present was one of the best reactions I’ve ever had. I was thrilled that I could create something that he was so excited about.

The stand is made out of a piece of driftwood which my dad drilled holes in. The spikes are actually metal skewers that my dad cut to the right length (I didn’t do these things because I trust that my dad can drill holes and cut straight, and I’m not sure I can.) The fish are loose on the stand, so that their positions can be changed.

I love how these fish look, especially when you look at them from the front.
